Evidence for the Divine Inspiration of the Bible 11 Daniel 11:35-40 episode 174

We're still exploring the amazing fulfilled prophecy in Daniel 11. By this point, is there any doubt that God had his hand in writing this prophecy?
Dan 11:35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
After the Maccabees had successfully defeated the Seleucids in the north, the nation's surrounding Israel, as well as the Jews who disagreed with the Maccabees, started persecuting the faithful Jews. The time of the end mentioned in this verse refers to the time of the end of Daniels 70 week prophecy.
Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
This new king spoken of here was not the king of the north or south. It was the King Herod. Herod did do according to his will as nobody could stop him from building and conquering who he wished. He exalted himself in that he was not appointed King; he asked Antony Octavian and the Senate to appoint him king. Herod magnified himself above every god, man and even the God of Gods.
Dan 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
Herod was raised in the Jewish faith and chose not to follow after the God of his father, nor did he care for any god in particular. Herod took part in building many temples to various gods but he never served any of them.
