Paul warned the Corinthians that if they would not judge themselves, then he would be involved in judgment when he came, but he made it clear that this would be in accordance with God's revelation on the matter. This discipline would not fall solely within Paul's jurisdiction, because those in the congregation who were not living in unrepentant sin, were responsible before God to uphold God's truth. Individuals within the congregation cannot become atomistic and disengaged from the cause of righteousness. Paul also explained that the Kingdom of God had to do with the power of God working within people's hearts through humility and repentance. Thus, we see that Paul's detractors were blind to the real working of God because they didn't understand that He works with His truth in people's hearts. Change begins from within and such change requires real power, but this working goes unnoticed by those who have not eyes to see and thus they are blind to the power of the Kingdom.
