Israel Asks for a King

INTRODUCTION: Samuel was a righteous and godly judge, but his sons chose to go in their own ways. The fact that they were so different from their father moved the nation of Israel to want something more—an earthly visible king to rule them. The Devil will create every imaginable scenario for people to follow unscriptural decisions. In this case, the problem was ungodly sons refusing to follow their father’s example. The people demanded a king, thus rejecting God as their King.
