You Have Known the Father

"The Father is truly known, only in the forgiveness of all our sins. When we suffer the Son to take us by the hand and lead us home to the Father,....when we discover, in our experience, how the Father deals with us when the Son presents us to Him saying "Behold I and the little ones you have given to me, " it is then and then only that we begin to know the Father." (Robert Candlish).
We can add that only by truly knowing the Father as ‘children’, ‘Fathers’ and ‘young men’, categories that John applies to us all, will we truly engage the deceptions of denying our sin, the true advocacy of Christ and the fruit of grace by which we love the brethren.
