Continue in Prayer

23

Epaphras established a church in Colossae.
False teachers came along in Epaphras' absence
and began to turn people away from Christ.

"You believe in Jesus? Well, that's a good start.
But Jesus isn't enough to get you all the way,"
these heretics said.

Paul's exhorts those in Colossians (and us)
to remember they are complete in Christ,
that Christ is the head of all principalities and powers.

They have no need of another or substitute mediator.

Against this background, Dave Irwin, pastor
of Salem Reformed Church in Ashley, North Dakota
shows in Colossians 4:2-4 the concepts of:

  1. Continuing in Prayer
  2. The Promise of Answer (Thanksgiving)
  3. Praying for Those who Minister the Gospel
