A Look at Righteous Fear

What I want to do at this hour is to address the subject of human fear versus godly fear so that you will better understand what godly fear is, and whether you have it. Why do sinful and unrepentant people have every reason to fear, while God's people are told not to fear? Well, we are going to see from these verses that it because sinful, unbelieving people and God's Spirit-taught people look at fear differently. Because God's people have have saving grace they are taught by the Spirit how to fear in a righteous way. There are 3 descriptions will show you if you have a fear of God which is righteous. 1st of all – God's people acknowledge with righteous fear His right to avenge sin. 2nd – God's people acknowledge with righteous fear His bringing conviction of sin. And 3rd – God's people acknowledge with righteous fear that He can be just and loving at the same time. It is my prayer that each of us will see in this message, what we personally need, to grow in our understanding of God and His ways in our lives.
