Blessed are the Merciful

Why is it that we at times, fail to be merciful? And how do we possess a merciful heart? God the Father in His love for us, extended His mercy to us by judging His Son instead of us. The extension of mercy always comes from an empathetic heart; a heart which can relate to the pain or suffering being experienced by another - Such a one knows the soothing power of mercy received, and mercy received must translate into mercy given.
