Hear the Parable of the Sower p1

In this message, Pastor John revisits one of the parables of Christ that teaches us three crop failure scenarios & one success scenario. He said the first crop failure is seen in those who do not under-stand; the devil comes and snatches the word out of their hearts. Understanding is standing under. God’s people, those who really believe in the message of Christ, must stand under His authority. He said the 2nd failure is found in those who receive the word with joy; but have no root, they believe for a while but when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away. Our Lord said the 3rd crop failure scenario is seen in those who are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life. They bring no fruit to maturity because they get caught up in worldly pleasures, cares & riches. The things of this life draw their attention away from Christ. The cares of the world draw them out of fellowship with other believers. The pleasure of life draws them out of God’s Word and into the fantasy world of TV & movies & sports & everything else.
We’ll learn ways to overcome those things and improve our life in Christ & fruit-bearing.
