Walking By The Spirit

Paul continues to deal with his subject of the saint and the power of sin. If all Christians are still prone to sin and to resist law by virtue of the vestiges of our natural self, is there any direction the Christian can follow that will at least alleviate the problem of sin. Paul, in Romans 8, shows us that the way the Christian thinks determines the course of his life. Romans 8 is really the data which forms the basis for his conclusion coming in Romans 12:1-2. We are to be Spirit-minded, transforming ourselves by renewing our minds. Doctrine, attitudes, self-rebukes - all come into play as we struggle to correct our thinking and affections into making us a more Spirit-minded believer.
