The Reprobation of Judas
Series The Gospel of Mark
194 ( 144 | 50 )
Jesus chose Judas amongst the 12 disciples. He appointed Judas to preach, to cast out demons and to heal people. Judas was also chosen to be the betrayer of Jesus. That is, he was selected to be one of the twelve, left in his sin and greed and hatred, and left to Satan. That being the case, his betrayal was such a certainty that the act could be predicted hundreds of years in advance. Jesus said it would have been better for Judas if he had not been born. Why did God create Judas? Why did there have to be a betrayer? Why did Jesus have to die by means of evil men? Why is there evil at all? We will explore all these questions.
