Memorials to the Future

God is doing a new thing in Israel. Or is it? In truth, the events that are transpiring under Joshua's leadership were promised centuries before. Yet for Israel they are indeed new and the challenges set before them require faith in the God who has been faithful. Yet remembering God's past faithfulness is not easy for us to do. God is merciful, however, and has given us ways to be reminded so that we will not shrink back from each new challenge he brings our way.
