Wives, Submit to Your Husbands

This sermon continues our verse-by-verse look at the book of Colossians. Here we see that Paul is showing these Believers what it looks like when people submit to the authority of Scripture. When we do that our lives will reflect God's purpose for us. The first group of people who Paul addressed were wives in the Church. Of course, we believe that this message applies to us today, so wives are called on to submit to their husbands, as this is a part of God's created order. So, we will see that the man and woman are both created in God's image, but that the woman is called upon to submit to him in the home. Also, we will see that this gives us a picture of the nature of God, and that the woman plays a critical role in the success of a family to glorify God.
