Paul as he writes is consumed with one theme: UNBLAMEABLE LIVING BECAUSE OF CHRIST'S RETURN. He notes that theme at the end of each chapter.
This first chapter speaks of our PRESENT HOPE OF SALVATION. As we examine that present hope we see it in the introduction to the gospel they received.
