Glorifying God
Series God's Glory in the Church
288
The proper effect of the manifest ions of God's person and works (glory) upon men is the response of ascribing glory to God. The verb which conveys such ascriptions ('to glorify') is examined. By the ways we worship, pray, serve, relate to one another, extend forgiveness, sanctify the Sabbath, etc., those, who are the church, are to show that the Father of Glory is the object of supreme love, devotion and obedience. Glorifying God is a demonstration of God's supremacy in His church.
