Unto Us a Child is Born

The people living in darkness have seen a Great Light. We compare here the great contrast between darkness and light. Darkness is the absence of light. As the sun goes down at night and darkness "rises," so when God turns his face away from us, spiritual darkness prevails.

But Behold! God does not turn away forever. He has sent a great light into the world. This light penetrates and darkness, exposes it, and eliminates it. For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government will rest upon his shoulders. Halleluiah to the Lamb of God!
