The Door of the Ark - 15
Series Series on the Book of Genesis
Noah feared God and was a just and perfect man. For a 120 years as he built the ark, he preached God's wrath to come, and the open door of salvation. So today, God has prepared an ark of salvation in Christ Jesus and bids sinners to enter in. Noah and his family entered the ark in an act of faith, believing in God's Word, despite the fact that not a drop of water had yet fallen. Similarly, when a believer takes refuge in Christ, he separates himself from the world's influence and ways and desires to walk in God's ways. God's shutting the door of the ark also has profound lessons for both the believer and the unbeliever. For the unbeliever, God's overtures of mercy and salvation shall soon come to a close. Believers on the other hand, at the point of regeneration are hidden in Christ, with God, and safe and secure for eternal glory.
