THIS SERIES IS NOW COMPLETE. What we find in the Tabernacle is symbolism: of separation; of God's deity, forgiveness, and grace; and what is required for man to be able to approach holy God. This study will illuminate many key spiritual concepts found in the New Testament. Though many people don't understand why we need to study the Old Testament, the reason is apparent in Romans 15:4 KJV: “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” We can never truly understand many things in the New Testament without studying the Old Testament. An understanding of the Old Testament Tabernacle in the Wilderness illuminates fundamentals of Christ's life, His purpose, and His death on the cross of Calvary. To answer the question of why Christ is the great “high priest” in the New Testament, we often refer to the Tabernacle. “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.” (Hebrews 9:24 KJV). This study is an exhaustive exposition, and presents practical lessons for Christian living. It is the in depth type of teaching one might expect to receive while attending a seminary or Bible college. For best use in studying this series, please have your Bible open to the passages read.
