It is packed with both the truth and the power of God that are to be released into our lives—all through the power of God's Spirit. It is a seed to be planted in the heart with the potential to bear enormous fruit. The Call to Learn Some Very Important Lessons, Proverbs 22:17-21.1. Develop and grow your character (vv. 17-18).2. Recognize the value of the lessons (vv. 19-21).The Specific Sayings of the Wise: Lessons That Will Make You Wiser and Stir You to a Greater Trust in the Lord ,Proverbs 22:22-29 1. Do not oppress the poor nor deny them justice (22:22-23).2. Avoid dangerous associations (22:24-25).3. Do not put up security for another person's debt—do not co-sign his note (22:26-27).4. Do not steal property—move boundary stones (22:28).5. Follow the example of a skilled, diligent worker: He will be promoted by leaders or rulers (kings) (22:29). The sins that we commit cannot be hidden. Unless confessed and forsaken, they will bring judgment in our lives. Wisdom is knowing where to tap.
