Resurrected Inheritance

Aim: To both inherit and hold that which Christ has gained for us, in His resurrection.

Doctrine: God's church must consistently reclaim her rightful inheritance (in Christ). Our foes invade our ''territory,'' and our God restores our fortunes (in Jesus).

Exegesis: How the Lord resurrects His church's inheritance: He remembers His covenant promises (vv. 1-2); He expels His covenant's enemies (vv. 3-4); He includes His new covenant's beneficiaries (vv. 5-6).

Further application: Our responsibility in the resurrected inheritance: sincere faith propels us to strive for Christ, and solid assurance motivates us to fight for our treasures (in Christ).
