Living in the Love of Christ

What does it mean to have received and to stand in the love of Christ? Paul uses an array of words to provoke our attention and affections so that we recognise the blessed status we now have: encouragement, comfort, participation in the Spirit, affection and sympathy. He also pens a magnificent statement about the person and work of Christ to show us how love works. His objective in this is have us so preoccupied with Christ, and so sure of our being the objects of his love, that we also are ready to pour out our lives for others.
