What About Marriage?

Why do you have a wonderful marriage after 42 years?

Pastor and Mrs. Wood both have the same best friend, Jesus Christ. Knowing Jesus is what changes everything and makes the difference. God’s plan regarding marriage is that we reflect the relationship between Jesus Christ and the Church.

Marriage is great, and singleness has advantages, and children are cherished by God. We cannot take everything that happens to people as normal. Both males and females reflect the glory of God. Some abnormal behavior is sinful. A Christian cannot be happy in sin. When Christ filled people sin, they feel yucky. If we want to know how to have a great marriage, we need to read God’s word. We cannot fix ourselves, and we must become like Jesus. Therefore we need Him to change us. When God changes us, it is a process and does not happen immediately. Our relationships with Jesus is what matters.
