The mark of a strong church is the ability to endure trials. The Thessalonian church fit the bill, and were commended by the Apostle Paul for doing so.

They had received a forged letter, allegedly from Paul, saying that the Day of Christ was at hand.

Not so fast... They were facing trials, but not those which will come during the Great Tribulation!
