1049 A God of Phenomenal Variety

This message is about the Two Witnesses spoken of in Revelation eleven but it goes beyond that into how God has accomplished to create so much that appears similar but really isn't.
Mother Nature is personified as a creative and controlling force that can be nurturing or destructive, but in reality she is a product of man's vain imagination that seeks to eliminate the knowledge of God from the fore front of our minds. Paul wrote in Romans chapter one; "For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead". We live in God's creation but like children of great wealth we seldom if ever consider things that don't directly affect us. Oh we may be impressed by the beauty of a special sunset or the grandeur of lofty mountains but those things are just what impress us. Actually they are so much more; they are a reflection of God's personality. What He likes, what He considers beauty and even more they are His genius on display for us to understand Him by.
