T.G Part 10 “Crybaby Christianity!”: Exposition-Galatians 4:1-7

1)The People of God in the Old Testament were being trained in righteousness through the Law. (Galatians 4:1-3)
a)An Heir cannot manage his inheritance while he is still immature.
b)An Heir must be pushed to maturity and consistency in managing his inheritance.(2 Kings 22:1-13; 2 Kings 23:25)
c)Whether the Heir inherits a Kingdom or small business productive traits are needed.
2)When God saw fit he sent His Son to His people to perform the promised work of redemption. (Galatians 4:4,5)
a)God did not set aside His righteous standard, this is a false Gospel.
b)God the Father crushed His Son as a substitutionary Atonement. (1 Peter 2:21-25)
c)His Son leaving Heaven came to Earth born of a woman to fulfill the Law. (John 1:17)
3)What an amazing inheritance we possess when we are made Sons and Daughters of God! (Galatians 4:6,7)
a)We are made Sons and Daughters of God only through the work of Christ (Solus Christus)
b)The Spirit of Christ alive in our hearts (kardia) enables us to handle this inheritance.
c)God’s People are expected to advance in spiritual maturity. What a disaster when we do not! (Luke 19:11-27)
