God's mystery is Christ, but then, it is also the people who are formed by his 'unsearchable riches'. 'What does it mean to be such a people? Paul considered it to be the highest calling possible to be able to announce these things. The hostility that had ruled the interaction of Jews and Gentiles (and his own life) was now gone and God's wisdom was being demonstrated through this reconciled people.
