Does God Always Mean Well?

The answer to the above question may not be as clear to many of us. In fact, the question itself may be disturbing to some of us as it seems to question God's goodness. When you look at Joseph's life, especially in Genesis 45 when he reveals himself to his brothers. As Joseph looks back, recalling his brother's hatred and desire to kill him and how the LORD has protected and provided for him, he can only say, "the LORD sent me." Do you think that's what Joseph thought when he was thrown into a pit by his brothers?

That's why I am asking, does God always mean well?
