Doctrine of Forgiveness Pt 3

95

Hate is rampant, and we see murder pouring out of the hearts of America! We plead and demand vengeance, revenge, punishment for we know these things are wrong! We know that wickedness deserves the unrelenting hand of justice, and we long for that which is wrong to be made right!
That desire for good to prevail and right to be exalted and honored comes a moral conscience which God Himself has placed in mankind.
It elevates us above the creature and brings us to the Imago Dei, we see the moral argument for God written in the injustice we see everywhere. So how are we to live?
Do we beat our plows and pruning hooks into swords and knives?
Or, is there a higher way, a better way.
We have all been wronged, and we have all wronged others, so where do we begin to deal out a fair balanced retribution for the wrongs of this world?

Beloved, the foundation of the Christian faith is in the doctrine of Forgiveness, and it is the hardest thing you will ever do if you live your life based upon your emotions and feelings.
We are 100% sure that justice is demanded for the blood that cries out from the ground, God himself told Cain that very thing.
But, there is never going to be a time here on earth when true justice is fairly meted out. Justice will never happen upon this earth.
But, we are sure that God is a God who is absolutely holy and just and He hates all sin and all workers of iniquity.
So, we can soundly trust that God will see to it that all retribution is fairly satisfied, but aren't you so glad that God didn't choose to be fair with you, but instead gave you mercy for Christ' Sake?
