The Resurrection to Come

The Resurrection to come is a great hope of the Christian, one of the distinguishing marks of the Christian gospel. Because Christ rose bodily, so will our own bodies be raised and changed to be like his resurrected body. It matters not if a person has previously died or is currently alive when Christ returns - all will be reconstituted whole human beings, body and soul, at the great Resurrection on the last day of this age. In these bodies we will live in the New Jerusalem in the presence of the Lord Jesus, and thus we shall live in face-to-face fellowship and worship with him in a never-ending life of perfect holiness, joy, and peace.
