God at Work in You

“... Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13 (NKJV) God’s people are not meant to passively coast through life, waiting for heaven. Nor are we meant to rely on our own efforts to mature as believers. Instead, we’re meant to obey God as He works in us to will and to do what pleases Him. This is our hope in sanctification – the practical outworking of holiness God credits to us through faith in Christ. He does not command our love and loyalty without providing us every means to obey Him from the heart! Do you find yourself growing in Christian maturity? Rejoice... this is an evidence of God’s grace at work in your life. And He promises to continue this work of grace until the day we see Jesus face to face.
