Sitting, they watched

They had a morbid curiosity as they sat and watched Christ upon the cross, and many a portrayal has been attempted, some quite gruesome. But the reality of the cross could not be seen, or at least only by those who see Him that is invisible, by faith we might perceive something of what redemption cost.
