Faith in a Faithful God

When David wrote this song he was hiding in the cave of Adullum, He begins with a plea for divine mercy and continues seeking God's blessed compassion. Saul was near by, perhaps even in the same cave, he had serious desires to eliminate David; to silence his melodic voce, and to degrade his testimony among the people of Israel. David declares his hope to be nowhere but in God. Such is the testimony of faithful believers in every age, we have no hope but our God but in Him we have infinite faith and unlimited peace.
