Christ's message to the church in Philadelphia addressed two common issues. They are: matters of weakness and strength; and the matter of mutual loyalty or commitment. They had little strength, but Christ was their strength. They kept his word, and he promised to keep them. Though weak today, those who serve him have an open door to the Father and to men, and will be firmly established in God's household.
