In Romans 5:8-9, Paul teaches that Christ's bloody death justifies Christians before God so that they hear His love rather than fear His hell. Your sinful person and life are in opposition to a life with the Holy One. Your guilty sins are a direct violation of God's perfect ethical code. Thus, you deserve to be hated and punished by God. Your punishment already began, and it will increase over eternity. Only Jesus Christ can reverse your curse through His blood. Nothing but the Blood of Jesus.
