The First Miracle: In the Name of Jesus, Rise up and Walk

Luke records the miracle of healing a lame man from birth as the first event after the Pentecost birth of the New Covenant church. This sign is significant to validate the apostles' authority and message, to lead to Peter's second sermon, and to lead to the first persecution of the church.
