“Unstoppable: The Victorious Gospel.” Those Crazy Corinthians! Part 5
1) Preaching the foolish message of the Gospel is the only ordained engine of witnessing for God. Regardless of the media used the Gospel must never be compromised.(1 Corinthians 1:22-25)
2) Many people demand signs and wonders or they will not submit to Christ. This argument sounds reasonable at first, until we study scripture. (Luke 16:19-31)
3) People who deem themselves wise feel they are too smart to believe a Gospel of nonsense. This argument also seems reasonable until we examine scripture. (Acts 17:16-34)
4) We are to storm the gates of Hell in this world by faith and accept the consequences of preaching the Gospel. God will accept nothing less from his people. (Numbers 13:17-33)

sēmeíon – a sign (typically miraculous), given especially to confirm, corroborate or authenticate. 4592/sēmeíon ("sign") then emphasizes the end-purpose which exalts the one giving it. Accordingly, it is used dozens of times in the NT for what authenticates the Lord and His eternal purpose, especially by doing what mere man can not replicate of take credit for.
