Backsliding Christians

God is supposed to be our king. But like these people we only look at things from a human, worldly, and even selfish point of view. Just who is number one anyway? That question begins to enter our minds and then control must be seized. We look around us and the excuses are easy to spot and the consequences seem so far away; almost as far away as God seems to be at the moment. The old man wants to be back in charge and the early warning sings are all around. Sin is looking to enslave us and then put on an exhibition of how it eats away at us and embezzles everything from us until our backsliding has brought us to the point where it seems as if God can't hear us. But as Christians we have an obligation to get right with God; to follow his directions in getting right and then he will hear us.
