Seven times in today's passage we are told that it was night. The Passover feast took place at night. The death of the Firstborn took place at night. Pharaoh arose in the night to discover the death of his son. And he called Moses and Aaron by night – and thus it is a night to be observed to the LORD.
So – of course, when Jesus came to celebrate the Passover – it was night...
