"For I am the Lord, I do not change..."
Series Taking God at His Word
Is the God of the Old Testament different from the God of the New Testament? I mean, the God who judged sin and rebellion so strongly… is that still who God is? Sadly, many Christians live today as if the God whose anger once was kindled against sin and self-reliance faded away after Jesus died at Calvary. Today, they reason, God now overlooks sin; He doesn’t care how people live, so long as they name Jesus as Savior. This is a deception… a dangerous false gospel. And it’s a terrible misrepresentation of God, who says in His Word: “For I am the LORD, I do not change…” (Malachi 3:6, NKJV). God cannot change because He is and always has been complete and perfect; all of His attributes are in harmony, including His love and justice. I hope you enjoy this sermon as we consider: Taking God at His Word: “I change not…”
