Married believers should remain married for the sake of the gospel (10-16).
a. Believers with believing spouses should remain married (10-11).
b. Believers with unbelieving spouses should remain married (12-16).
1. The holiness of a believer extends to his or her unbelieving spouse (12-14).
2. A believer is not bound to an unbelieving spouse who separates (15-16).
Believers do not need to change their earthly statuses after receiving the gospel (17-24).
a. Earthly statuses do not benefit or harm us in our relationship with Christ (18-20).
b. Our relationship with Christ identifies us more than our earthly statuses (21-24).
c. Marriage & singleness are both earthly statuses that are worthy of the gospel.
