The God who Seeks the Lost

59
  1. “We all like sheep have gone astray…turned everyone to his own way” (Isaiah 53)

Titus 3:3
a. “foolish”—unable to discern the things of God
b. “disobedient”—not heeding the voice of conscience within or being contemptuous of external authority
c. “led astray”—listening to any voice for guidance as it suits our fancy, not discerning our gullibility
d. “enslaved”—not all of us succumbing to the same passions and pleasures, we nonetheless caved into some drives we've never learned to control; often calling our slavery “freedom”
e. “malice and envy”—both qualities on the “grow” in the western world

  1. “and when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing” (Luke 15)

Titus 3: 4-7
a. “He saved us through the washing of regeneration”
b. “so that being justified by His grace…”
c. “we might become heirs”

  1. A word for wanderers from God; a word for the tender of conscience; a word for those insecure in their salvation and a word for those in the spiritual doldrums.
