From Anxiety to Prayer to Praise

In Philippians 4:6-7, Paul tells us to not be anxious about anything but bring everything to the Lord in humble, thankful prayer. The result will be a mind and heart guarded by the peace of God. Prayer does not produce peace; peace was bequeathed to us by Christ. While peace with God is an objective reality for all who are in Christ, humble, thankful prayer is a means of grace whereby we come to experience that peace.
