Pain Leads to Prayer

Sin is behind the pain experienced by Hanna. Her husband was well-to-do and considered honorable. He led his family in worship. He was generous, especially to Hanna. But, he was a polygamist. It was accepted in that depraved Hebrew culture. But, Hanna, being barren, was ridiculed and driven to tears. What could she do but pray? She asked God to give her a son so she could give him back to God.
