"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."
This is what John's gospel is all about. In the resurrection of Lazarus in chapter 11 Jesus reveals his glory, and now in chapter 12 all the world follows him. The crowds hail him as the Son of David in the triumphal entry. Even the Greeks wish to see Jesus.
All the world has gone after him!
