SBC Denomination: Contraception Is Morally Detrimental - Sexuality Without Children

Back in 1934, the Southern Baptists produced a resolution on birth control that wouldn’t go over too well today. They considered the rise of birth control “seriously detrimental to the morals of a nation.” Hmmm. Sadly, recent studies indicate that evangelicals are worse than liberal churches and Catholics when it comes to the use of abortifacients. Kevin Swanson discusses the links among birth control, abortion, homosexuality, masturbation, and other manifestations of this desire for “sex without children.” Then we get down to some of the basic biblical principles relating to birth control and the use of abortifacients.
