Glorifying God through the Lion's Den

THEME: God uses the schemes of the wicked to glorify His name on the earth.

Daniel 6

I. God glorifies Himself through upright character. (The Setting for a test of your character).

A.  Daniel's character brought him prominence (vv. 1-5).

B.  Daniel's character brought him resistance (vv. 4-5).

II. God glorifies Himself through tests of your character.

A.  God can use wicked co-workers to bring about tests for you (vv. 6-9).

B.  God can enable you to withstand the test devised by wicked men (vv. 10-15).

III. God glorifies Himself by being with you through your test (vv. 16-28).

A.  Daniel is not delivered from the den of lions (16-18).

B.  Daniel is delivered in the den of lions (vv. 19-23).

C.  God is glorified in the den of lions (vv. 24-28).
