The Lord of the Covenants #14

God chose Abram according to the election of grace, that the Messiah should be born through him. Yet God also chose to make this former idolator rich in faith. This sermon begins to explore Abram's faith, that we might emulate it as followers of Christ. We begin by exploring the nature of saving faith itself, noting three characteristics:

1. Saving faith is the gaze of the soul upon Christ Jesus alone.
2. Saving faith is believing and acting upon the promises of God.
3. Saving faith is expressed by patient endurance in this present age.
