This is the third review of C. H. Spurgeon's, 'An Earnest Warning Against Lukewarmness.' Following a consideration of how the exalted Christ describes himself to the Laodiceans, the third characteristic (perfect self-complacency) of the condition into which churches may decline is examined. Additionally, the fourth characteristic ('a condition which has chased away its Lord') is considered. With the first major heading reviewed, we move then move on to the second, that is, 'the danger of such a state.'
