The Royal Rumble

Throughout the 20th century there were some extra-special prize fights,The fight of the century, there was the Thrilla in Manila and the Rumble in the Jungle for example. Here in this chapter which took place so many centuries ago we have the royal rumble. The queen is pitted against the prime minister in a fight to the death.
Haman as the chapter opens is arriving at this dinner party reeling from the events of the previous few hours. He had assumed the night before that the king was looking to honor him even more but instead he set himself up to honor his enemy Mordecai, which was a gut punch. That morning he had to parade Mordecai around as he had described to the king leaving him feeling pretty beat up. His wife and friends gave him a quick 1-2 combo that bruised his ego with their assessment of the situation and the phrase “begun to fall”. This feast should have been the bell that have ended the round but it wasn't.
