Effective Prayer

Solomon has completed the temple, and Yahweh appears to him in a vision to give His approval, a warning to the nation about sin, the solution for reinstatement and the conditional promise of His involvement. Then Yahweh directs His attention to King Solomon with a choice: follow your father David in reverence of Me and your reign will be established; or, turn away from Me into apostasy and I will discard both this temple and your people into exile. The reaction of those who pass by the ruins will be astonishment and an inquiry as to why this has happened. The clear answer to their puzzlement will be attributed to your abandonment of Me, your acceptance of worthless idols and your service to them.
