[08/14/2022 PM] - "The Second Death is Eternal Punishment" - Revelation 14:9-12

We come to the second to the last in our summer series on the book of Revelation and the Reformed Confessions and consider Revelation 14.9-12 and three Articles from the Canons of Dort 1.1, 1.4, and 2.1. We need to confront the issue of what happens (and is happening right now) in hell? This might be a hard sermon for those who have lost loved ones who rejected Jesus Christ, but it is necessary for the true church to not turn away from the hard things. I pray that you will find real clarity as we deal with this difficult but necessary text and topic.

Theme: We are called to patience by viewing the just, eternal, unending punishment of God's wrath

1. All worldly people who reject Christ are doomed

2. Note well that the source of their suffering is God

3. Note well that the duration of their suffering is unending

4. Christians – we can endure temporary suffering!
